Description:

Our Merchandiser Trainers play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. From sales to delivery, the Merchandiser Trainer assists with the development and training of new Merchandisers. They train the Merchandisers how to stock, rotate and merchandise our products so they are ready to sell. This position works closely with our sales team to provide exceptional customer service to assigned accounts. Key Responsibilities

  • Train new Merchandisers how to properly merchandise accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job
  • Maintain positive relationships and direct communication with store personnel, and sales and delivery teams
  • Work with the Merchandiser Supervisors to execute proper daily training plans for each new team member
  • Organize back stock to ensure accurate order writing for sales
  • Work with merchandising and sales team members on a continual basis to train, support and evaluate needs
  • Assist with merchandising store as needed
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
  • Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned Key Competencies

  • Operate equipment Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, and may include weekends and overtime as necessary. Travel Local travel only Physical Demands

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age Preferred Education and Experience
  • Previous grocery or retail experience
