Property Manager - Madrona

Position Summary:

The Property Manager supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way: To coordinate, supervise and oversee multiple property management functions. To ensure maximum occupancy of housing units, to direct or coordinate response to emergencies, to sustain successful residency and help residents work toward self-sufficiency, and to ensure the provision of safe, livable residential communities and high quality, well-maintained residential units through lease enforcement and maintenance activities. Property managers are responsible for the preparation and oversight of the operating budget for assigned property; developing and implementing employee performance goals to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery to residents and a work environment of teamwork and respect.

In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.

Please note: Property Managers may be required to work at any of our locations throughout Multnomah County.

This position is Non-Represented and is stationed at Madrona Place Apartments located at:

17810 E Burnside St.
Portland, OR 97233


Education & Experience Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration or a related field.

Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience working in the property management field with a property management company or housing agency with disadvantaged, special needs populations. Management experience at a tax credit, section 8 and public housing apartment community preferred.

License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate, valid Driver License.
ARM or PHM certification preferred.
