The Assistant Facilities Manager supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way: To coordinate building and facilities operations at Home Forward's headquarters building; oversee building and facility systems and services; respond to building emergencies and maintain and communicate emergency response procedures; create and manage related work orders; respond to employee office and facilities maintenance requests; prepare and monitor the building's operating budget; and ensure safe, well-maintained, and adequate office spaces and an environment that is suitable for work and promotes employee well being. In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.
This position is a part-time, 20 hour per week position that will be stationed at our headquarters building in downtown Portland at:
135 SW Ash Street
Portland, OR 97204
Education & Experience Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in property, facilities, building, or business management or a related field.
Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible experience working in commercial real estate and/or property management with facility management experience.
License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate, valid driver license.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar designation preferred.

Vision: Vision sufficient to read small print, computer screens and other printed documents.
