The Maintenance Mechanic position supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way: Performs a wide range of skilled maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that the agency's apartment communities are safe places to live and work, operate efficiently and are assets to their neighborhoods. In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Sufficient education to perform at a level of competency corresponding to the work assigned.
Three years of experience performing maintenance and/or preventative maintenance of apartment complexes and/or housing sites.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid driver license.
Have completed or the ability to complete the OSHA Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Initial Training Course (OSHA Class III).
Possess or have the ability to obtain a Lead-Based Paint Renovation License.
A score of four (4) or better on the following WorkKeys Assessments: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents.
