The Support Specialist classification’s objectives are program based, reflect changing regulations and needs, and, depending on responsibilities, support Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way:
To perform a wide variety of complex, responsible and confidential office and administrative duties in support of rent assistance service coordinators, short term rent assistance or landlord services; to act as a point of contact for housing assistance participants or landlords; to provide information and assistance to Home Forward clients, landlords, and the general public regarding departmental or division policies and procedures; to generate, process and distribute information and reports; and to perform a variety of specialized duties to assist coordinators and supervisors with completing tasks within their area of responsibility.
In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized office and client problem solving related training.
Three years of increasingly responsible specialized office, administrative, multi tasking, account and client services experience.
