What’s New? Furniture is a family owned and operated retail store in Portland that sells new, custom, locally made and consigned furniture. We are looking for the right person to join our team. To ensure your success with us you must have a positive attitude and the ability to build rapport quickly with our customers.

Requirements:

• Previous furniture sales experience.
• Previous Visual Merchandising experience.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Creative and able to quickly adapt to change.
• Available to work retail schedule including weekends.
• Complete paperwork in a neat, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Act in an appropriate manner for a retail sales environment

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers upon arrival and presenting a warm, friendly shopping experience.
• Ability to build and move furniture to create spaces within the store showroom.
• Building a relationship with customers to help them find the furniture that best fits their needs and budget.
• Increasing your personal knowledge with our merchandise, promotions, and sales tactics.
• Motivated to hit weekly/monthly sales targets.

Compensation:

After a 90-day probationary period you will receive health insurance, and the ability to join our monthly bonus program. Your earning potential depends on past experience and ability to exceed sales targets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
